Featured Project: Livermore Backyard

June 24, 2015

We would like to highlight a recent project completed in the East Bay Area community of Livermore. Prior to construction, there was just dirt and weeds in the backyard giving a clean slate. This homeowner, who like an increasing number of other homeowners are looking to spend more time outside, worked with our team to create a custom designed outdoor living area.

The finished project consisted of a number of different elements including a patio, outdoor kitchen, pergola, and a retaining wall. The Shasta Blend, which is a combination of gray and charcoal, was selected as the color for all the hardscaping giving the project a consistent appearance that complimented the color of the house.

The Castle Stone Pavers were chosen for a backyard patio along with connecting walkways. Areas were left alongside the fence and the house for plants, which provide a colorful accent to the darker tones of the pavers and walls.

Patio, Outdoor Kitchen and Pergola

The outdoor kitchen was created using the Keystone Stonegate Country Manor in the Shasta Blend and featured a bbq grill, refrigerator, storage space, and a bar height counter top. A pergola was built above the kitchen and nearby patio providing shade from harsh glares while still allowing for breeze and light sun.

A matching retaining wall, also constructed with the Keystone Stonegate Country Manor, runs along the back of the yard serving the double purpose of creating an elevated planting space while giving people a place to sit down.
